The government of Ontario is investing more than 47,900 in Toronto Centre's own Casey House, one of 56 hospitals that are benefiting from this additional funding. The province has also created a 'Small and Rural Transformation Fund' which encourages innovation and collaboration among the small hospital, as well as the rural hospital community. These investments are part of the 'Patients First: Action Plan for Health Care' which provides patients with faster health care delivered to peoples communities and even homes.
“This funding increase makes a big difference to our community. It ensures that the hospital can continue to provide health care services close to home. ”
― Glen Murray, MPP, Toronto Centre
