This is a three-stop walking tour and clean up that begins Winchester Park and will end at Riverdale Park with informational workshops along the way. While we travel from stop to stop, we will clean up Toronto Centre! Biodegradable bags and gloves will be provided to pick up trash along the way. Please join us! Details below:

SUNDAY APRIL 26th:

START TIME: 11am

LOCATION: Winchester Park, 149 Bleeker

Coffee, tea, and info on eco-friendly business

We will start the day off right with great organic coffee, tea and some important info from eco-friendly business owner, Marilyn Simms. Marilyn joins us from Vert Catering and will serve us organic, fair trade and pesticide free coffee and tea as we set off to clean up!

STOP 2: Urban Agriculture at Alan Gardens

Many Toronto Center Residents will recognize this stop as the famous Toronto landmark Alan Gardens. Here we will be joined by Rhonda Teitel-Payne, Co-coordinator of Toronto’s Urban Growers. She briefly present on the topic of Urban Agriculture. We’ll continue our clean up and head east!

STOP 3: Fresh local produce from Fresh City Farms at Riverdale Park

We will conclude our clean up at Riverdale Park, finishing with fresh organic snacks courtesy of Fresh City Farms. MPP Glen Murray will take this opportunity to speak up about the links between environmentalism and wellness in the community.
